How does BioLogic Blend deliver FASTER Returns and Healthier Soil?

Most basically it is a super concentrated soil conditioner and fertiliser with a high 'Active' Carbon content.

The ‘Active’ carbon in BioLogic Blend will have an immediate effect as it is soluble and does not require further breakdown to begin performing essential functions in the soil.

What is the 'Active' Carbon in BioLogic Blend?

There are different types of carbon in soil; when we talk about ‘Active’ Carbon we are referring to Humic Acid.

You have probably heard of Humic Acid as it is a component of organic carbon in healthy soil. Humic is also becoming an increasingly common input in agriculture.

Like phosphorus, nitrogen and other essential nutrients we ‘top-up’ when growing crops and plants, Humic Acid (and organic carbon) has depleted in most soils and can be a real limiting factor to farm productivity.

This is why our clients see significant results on farm with Humic Acid applications.

How does ‘Active’ Carbon work faster than other forms of carbon or organic matter applied to soil?

‘Active’ Carbon will take immediate effect; Humic Acid by definition is the soluble component of organic carbon and requires no further breakdown or refinement.

Bonus! Humic Acid is also stable, lasting 3-5 years in soil,  multiple applications will lead to compounded results.

Compost and mulch which farms apply to condition soil include organic carbon or organic matter which requires further time to breakdown through biological processes.

BioMAX BioLogic Blend contains 27% Humic Acid compared to a high quality compost which ranges from 2-4% Humic Acid.

Benefits of ‘Active’ Carbon

  1. High nurient holding capacity, with a high cation exchange capacity of 300-500. This is a measure of nutrient bonding  ability, nutrients and fertiliser are held plant available resulting in higher Return on Nutrient Investment (RONI).
  2. Stimulate beneficial microbial activity. This builds soil aggregate stability which influences soil structure, compaction and its ability to hold nutrients and water.
  3. Increase soil water holding capacity. Humic Acids have been shown to increase available water capacity by 30-50%.
